Scott: Out Sick
Scott is the name of a
friend of mine who lives in New York. He's not a temp. The desk up there is mine
from when I worked at the dental school. You can see (A.) my jacket
over the chair back and (B.) the dictation machine that I used a lot
(which led to my "Sigh"
update). It broke about a month before I quit.

Nikki: Out Sick

Nikki is a friend of
mine. She's not a temp, either. This is the same desk as
Scott's (mine, in other words), only from the front. I moved my jacket (C.) to a different
chair so no one would notice it was the same desk (paranoia again).
Also, I had my own printer (D.) at this job which was really nice.
The spot I was standing to take this picture is where this guy Craig used
to stand while he brushed his teeth every morning. It pissed me off and I wrote
about it once.

Dave: Out Sick

Dave is a friend of mine (the piedriver.com guy). He's done some temp and contract work, too! This picture
is also from dental school. My desk was on the other side of the
cubicle wall, facing the office (E.) where the guy whose nipples I could see
through his dress shirt worked. See, it's all coming together!

Sick

Joanne is a friend of
mine. She's not a temp. This desk is an image I stole from
thespark.com. They had (maybe still do) a webcam page, and this was
an image from when everyone had left for the day.

Nancy is my sister's
name. She's a social worker and lives on the East Coast. I can't remember where I stole
this image from, but it's some lab with a webcam I found online.

Frank: Out Sick

My friend Kris said I
should name one of the fictional temps "Frank", so I did. This is the
same image as the one on the top right, only flipped the other way, and black &
white. Someone wrote to point this out to me once. The day I
did this page I was having trouble finding pictures of desks online.
Laziness wins over paranoia this time.
