Hey! It's been one year! Cool. Just a few quick words of thanks for today, and then we'll be back Monday with your regularly scheduled website.
First of all, thanks to everyone who reads this site on a regular basis! I keep an eye on my weblogs, and traffic is pretty steady Monday through Friday, which I take to mean that the same people keep on coming back. Traffic is in the pits on the weekends, but that's okay; since I never update on the weekends, it just means everyone knows that, which, again, points to regular viewership. At least that's how I'm looking at it.
Also, I've gotten a lot of really nice e-mails over the past year. It's just about my favorite thing about having the site. I know my responses to most of these e-mails are generally really lame and boring, but I hope everyone who writes in knows I really do appreciate it, and I thank you for taking the time to send me your opinions of the site. Also, many people have been kind enough to send in links to temping articles, cartoons, news, and free car contests, so thanks and keep 'em coming!
I need to say thanks to Nikki Thrash, who provided me with the books that led to Fitness Week; it wouldn't have happened without her, and it's one of the more popular features I've had here. Thanks, Nik!
I'd also like to thank Greg from spinnwebe, Mark from zompist.com, and Lore from The Brunching Shuttlecocks, three very funny guys with great sites who give me a lot of encouragement.
Thanks to Kris Davis, who provides me with ideas on how to improve the site, gives me opinions on my crappy logos, and often listens to me whine about how I wish I didn't have to update five days a week. Like I've got anything better to do.
A big thank you to Mary Jo Pehl, who was incredibly generous to grant me the interview I ran this week. It was fun and interesting, and it's been attracting some new readers to the site. Thanks, Midge!
Thanks to Shawn from collapsar, who made me this nifty banner a while back. I still dig it!
Thanks to everyone on the #spinnwebe IRC channel.
And hey, thanks to my Mom & Dad, and my sister Nancy. My biggest fans.
Eh, I think that's enough. See you Monday!
