Probably the biggest single complaint about Half-Life 2 was that a number of gamers found they had audio problems, namely, audio stuttering. At certain points in the game, mainly during long dialogue sequences, the audio would skip and stutter, so when G-Man says "Your hour has come again" it comes out "Your hour has cuh-cuh-cuh-cuh-come again.

I had this problem myself, and while it was a little distracting, it didn't bother me terribly. Valve released a few patches, and those combined with reinstalling my sound and video drivers fixed the stuttering bug for me, but many gamers have been unable to fix the problem. It's still a fairly big issue on the HL2 forums. Valve even had a few gamers with the problem bring their computers into the Valve offices to see it firsthand.
